We build our websites predominantly on WordPress (which has a 60% market share), and we also build on Drupal and LifeRay.

Web Design Process


The first step of the website development project will be a discovery meeting to review the deliverables, expectations and determine design direction. From this meeting, the project manager will develop the information architecture and begin content mapping.


We create custom designs and flexible layouts that adapt to the capabilities of many devices and screen sizes. Designs are created interactively and use HTML and CSS predominantly, so we won’t waste time mocking up every template as a static visual. In some cases we may use static visuals to indicate a look-and-feel direction (color, texture and typography). You will have several opportunities to review our work and provide feedback. Our team will make adjustments to the design(s) until you are satisfied to take the next step.


As part of this agreement, Ally Marketing will use content provided to us. Ally staffs professional and experienced copywriters, if you elect to contract separately for content development.


We provide access to some stock imagery and graphics to be used on the site. Custom logo and graphic treatments can be provided upon request.


Your website will have a content management system (CMS) installed. A training can also be provided (at no additional fee) for your staff to make content changes. Alternatively, Ally Marketing can handle all future editing and website changes as part of an ongoing hourly maintenance fee.


We test our work in current versions of major desktop browsers, including those made by Apple (Safari), Google (Chrome), Microsoft (Internet Explorer and Edge), and Mozilla (Firefox). Testing popular small-screen devices is essential in ensuring that a visitor’s experience of a design is appropriate to the capabilities of the device they’re using.


Our fee depends on the size and functionality requirements of your website. Smaller sites cost less, while larger, enterprise level sites cost more due to greater customization, system integrations and functionality.
